An advantage of this ad would be that it can be found on the back of the newspaper. I think that having an ad on the front page or the back page of the newspaper is effective. I think it is effective because today most people don't read the newspaper. Some businesses offer free newspapers for customers to read while they eat or wait at a doctors office or automotive place. If a customer was looking at the selection of reading material and this was faced up, they might take a look at the ad, and further look at the newspaper. Unlike the articles and older newspapers this ad is in color. The color is super bold (because it is black) and draws a person's eye toward the ad. The marketing strategy for this ad is very straightforward and informative. Everything that the consumer needs to know about this deal is displayed in the ad. A disadvantage of this ad is the position on the back of the newspaper. The ad can be found at the very bottom of the page, making the ad a little harder to find. The newspaper would have to be placed just right for a random person to stumble upon this ad. Most readers of physical newspapers are much older and may not even care for what is being advertised here. I think Burger King paying to put an ad in a newspaper is unnecessary. Most people who live near a Burger King know what it is and what is sold there. They would honestly be better off just sticking to tv, and billboards for advertising their deals. That would get a lot of people of the younger age range. It will cost more money, but for a company that is already established this would be better.
